Battle Best Internet Security Suite with least impact on System

Hey Guys! Need help deciding which Internet Security to use. The reason why i am posting this is because i have no idea which suite has least/most impact on your system. I am running windows 10TP build 10074 x64, Toshiba Satellite Ultrabook z30-A00R, 4gb Ram

Emsisoft Internet Security for me, it is almost perfect.
No impact on browsing speed, great PUP detection, strong Behavior Blocker, good support ...

Your specific system will make it very clear to you which AV it likes best...

The ones that have been the most consistent, unproblematic performers on my AMD W8.1 system are:
  • Emsisoft Anti-Malware
  • Emsisoft Internet Security
  • ESET Smart Security
  • Comodo Internet Security
Emsisoft does not officially support W10 at this time... and I would doubt F-Secure and BitDefender have perfected W10 versions yet either.

Comodo, I think, supports W10... but I would verify that fact before installing it.

I chose AVs that work best on my specific system... and not which ones are rated best by the labs or other users.

Webroot firewall controls are disable\inoperable on both W8\8.1 and W10 systems...

Webroot firewall controls only functions properly on W7 systems.

Webroot has no fix for this issue since 2012...

Why are the fanboys picking ESET. Please read OP's post before commenting. Or provide a reason to why.

As you are running Windows 10 Preview, check what vendors support the OS. Results cannot be guaranteed as opposed to running them on an officially supported operating system.

It also would depend and vary on your current hardware.

If you want a good level of protection with least impact on system resources, i see three products that would be appropriate for that category:
  • Eset smart security
  • Avg Internet security
  • Emsisoft internet security.
These are your best choices, very light on the system and good protection. ;)

Qihoo 360 with Avira Engine enabled about =10-30-40 RAM (not bad detection rate)
Avira = about 40-60 RAM (great detection rate)
Norton IS about 30-40 RAM
Qihoo 360 with BitDefender Engine about = 160-190 RAM
BitDfender Internet Security = 190-215 RAM

According some tests most RAM friendly antiviruses is Avast and Webroot

RAM usage doesn't matter for performance (only on machines with a really low amounts of RAM), it's mostly CPU cycles and disk I/O, which can be reduced by loading the database in to the RAM, so even though some software like Bitdefender or Emsisoft seem to take a huge amount of it, the performance can be way better than ones which load the database for every file access. ;)
