Solved BINKILAND SEARCH REMOVAL

I have been having problems with Chrome, as it will not play sound with any video. The video plays fine, just no sound. No sound anywhere; pandora, youtube, etc. Updated drivers; All settings are correct; everything is turned on correctly. Everything works fine with IE, just not on Chrome.
I thought that maybe I'd download the latest version of Chrome in the hope that would fix the sound problem. the download brought all kinds of uninvited crap with it. I have been able to eliminate all of it except for "binkiland search". I did all of the uninstall stuff, but there are components of this program hidden somewhere. MalwareBytes can't find anything. HitManPro can't find anything.
I am a novice at anything tech, so need explicit step-by-step instructions, hopefully on both the audio problem and on how to get rid of "binkiland search"

I've gone through each step from this;
Step 1-3 found no issues. Step 4, HitmanPro, found 5 issues and 27 traces, but there was no option for the free trial.
Ideas?

  • Double-click the icon to start the tool.
  • It will ask you where to extract it, then it will start.
  • Warning! Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit needs to be run from an account with administrator rights.

Please re-run Farbar Recovery Scan Tool to give me a fresh look at your system.
  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
    Run as Administrator to start the tool.
    (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Make sure that Addition option is checked.
  • Press Scan button and wait.
  • The tool will produce two logfiles on your desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
Please include their content into your next reply.
 
Malwarebytes anti rootkit was run with this result:
"no cleanup required- no malware found"
I re-scanned with Farbar recovery scan tool and have attached results.

Uninstall some programs

We need to uninstall some unwanted/unneeded programs.
  • Press the
    WindowsKey.png
    + R on your keyboard at the same time. Type appwiz.cpl and click OK.
  • Search there for each entry mentioned below, right-click the entry and click Uninstall one at a time
The list of programs to uninstall:
  • IObit Malware Fighter
  • Advanced SystemCare 8
  • McAfee Security Scan Plus
  • Smart Defrag 3
  • Driver Booster 2.1
  • Surfing Protection
After completing uninstalls, please manually reboot your machine!

Note: If you get the message like: An error occurred while trying to uninstall, just press Yes.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
    Run as Administrator to start the tool.
    (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Had never had a problem in the past until there just was no sound one day while playing a youtube video. Any video will play, just no sound. Checked all settings...everything is fine. All videos played using IE have sound w/o a problem...it is only Chrome that has the problem of no audio. There are plenty of people out there with the problem it seems, and plenty of proposed fixes on Google forums. Some fixes work for some; others for others; none seem to be consistent. I haven't tried any of them, other than reinstalling and later (unfortunately) trying an update (which led to binkiland fiasco). Seems to be a problem that is limited to Chrome...of course Google does not respond.

Post-cleanup procedures:​


Download DelFix by Xplode and save it to your desktop.
  • Run the tool by right click on the

    icon and Run as administrator option.
  • Make sure that these ones are checked:
    • Remove disinfection tools
    • Purge system restore
    • Reset system settings
  • Push Run and wait until the tool completes his work.
  • All tools we used should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:\DelFix.txt)
The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.
