In order to get bitdefender to work right with chrome, I had to uninstall MBAE, before installing bitdefender. After bitdefender was up and running, I reinstalled MBAE and all was well. (It was not sufficient to merely disable MBAE at startup.)

here I had a problem with the keystroke encryption mode. I was not able to type properly in chrome. Support said I probably have a password manager or a chrome add-on that is conflicting. I solved the problem by disabling hook guard, from the advanced settings of the keystroke encryption tab, and then rebooting. This is not a very secure solution, but it only affects keystroke encryption, which I don't really need anyway.

After all said, things are working very nicely.

Dang, you are a lucky person. I experienced high RAM usage of BitDefender when I cleared exclusions of Malwarebytes Anti Malware Premium on BitDefender, and guess what happened after that? 500MB of RAM usage while the system is idle which is crazy. And that RAM usage it like I'm playing CSGO, but instead its sitting on the desktop idle.
