Today I logged into my Bitdefender Central and I found a notification saying that a malicious file was blocked, only to find out that it was Adguard.
Anyone else experienced the same issue, or does anyone know the reason for this?

The detection is generic based and from the cloud, it wasn't manually added by a security specialist at Bitdefender who works in the malware research team; nothing more than a false positive detection.

You can query Bitdefender via support and attempt to have the false positive sorted out - since Adguard is not malware they should do it in no time without an issue.

You have nothing to worry about. Bear in mind that your Adguard installation won't work properly if any of the components have been quarantined.

Thank you for the reply. I will contact Bitdefender support to let them know about this.

Something can be blocked but not cause a breakage. I don't understand how you guys cannot figure that out.

Report it as false positive. Adguard was just recently upgraded to a new version. KSN database needs to be updated.

In fact I prefer to do this automatically.

TAM depend on KSN May take up to 5 days

Strange. I have both Kaspersky and Bitdefender on different machines and none of them detected any component of the latest version of Adguard as malware.

I have Bitdefender TS 2018 and AdGuard 6.2 and I haven't experienced this issue so far. In the meantime, you could whitelist AdGuard in Bitdefender so that it will not detect it as a threat. Just add the Adguard.exe and AdguardSvc.exe in both "Application Access" (Firewall) and applications whitelist under "Advanced Threat Defense".
