Alright, which do you like better?

PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE BITDEFENDER BECAUSE IT HAS TUNE UP AND NORTON DOES NOT UNLESS YOU GET 360, JUST SAY IN TERMS OF PROTECTION

i wouldn't say "passionate fans" we just know norton is the best suite on the market compared to bitdefender. it has so many problems @viking @woomera have you been on there support forums? they LOVE to ignore people and still have no fix to this day for the youtube stuttering and the many more problems just "work arounds" like adding your browser to the exception list in the AV to be scanned wich decreases security alot ;)

I wouldn't say they do, or at least I don't think they do it intentionally.

BD 2012 releases had a lot of promise with enhanced [and simplified] functionality, expected to be more unobtrusive and with the benefit of added features for better [silent] protection overall... It fell short of the expectations and this has no doubt been painful to both paying customers and team members. Support has to publicly deal now with a release cycle gone seriously wrong - insufficient [and inefficient] internal and public testing, many unidentified or underestimated project risks that eventuated, no risk-mitigation and contingencies, etc.

Symantec was in a similar position a few years ago, their product offerings were ridiculed for being resource hogs and support dismissed as glaring incompetence. But they managed to turn their fortunes around to being nowadays the reference point, hopefully BD will also be able to do the same. The fundamentals are right - very powerful AM engine, light product, committed professionals...
