They are 1 year licences.I haven't heard anything on them being blacklisted after 30 days
Someone got a mail
Haben Sie etwas vergessen? Wir haben etwas fur Sie

which means according to Google translate,
"(Did you forget something? We have something for you)"
....
And The mail has a Key for Bitdefender Total Security one year for free... But it cannot be stacked as it mentions that Key would be invalidated after 30 days...

I read it somewhere that all the keys would be invalidated after 30 days o_O
Where is "somewhere"?

Missed BoraMurdar's response.
BoraMurdar: Someone?
BoraMurdar: Post a anonymized screenshot of the email then.

Well if everyone gets the same offer as per your quote, than there isn't really a problem.
Because they will still have 1 year free.

I would take "stacked" to mean adding to an existing license.Maybe that might be the case but I have not heard of anything on this or using the 1 year keys for a new account being Blacklisted after 30 days.

What is the problem?
Bitdefender sends out emails that the free 1 year licenses will be blacklisted after 1 month. And then offers 1 year free again?
So in fact they are extending the offer to 13 months.
Cutting their own fingers, and wasting time and effort with emailing?

It's not the first time that BitDefender gives away licenses and them blacklist them, it happened some time ago with BD TS 2012, and after some period BitDefender blacklisted all keys, don't get me wrong, just pointing this out that BitDefender has that habit. I wish that everyone's keys last for 1 year, just read it on another forum that one guy got a mail (like above)

This means not used for an existing account. It could also mean activating one promo key and then adding another to get 2 years which I can see them doing that

You linked to the profile of the other person.
The post is here : http://forum.raymond.cc/threads/bitdefender-total-security-free-for-1-year.36372/page-5#post-297107

This is my friend's take on this.

The new key (which they offer) for 12 months/1 year will be invalidated after 30 days. Not your current/active license.
What they mean is that their offer for 12 months free (in the email message), only lasts for 30 days.

"Haben Sie etwas vergessen?"
"Did you forget something?" : Like that your current antivirus/security suite's license is running out. (They are just guessing.)
"Wir haben etwas fur Sie"
"We have something for you" : Their new offer of 12 months free. Which must be used within 30 days.

Apparently they add the email addresses of all failed requests, to a promotional email list.
Which they send out these promotional emails to occasionally.

He recieved a similar offer for Bitdefender AntiVirus Plus for 12 months free last year, within a month after failed attempts to get their Total Security for 12 months free (September 2013). Which was refused (popup message) because too many licenses were given away at the time.
But he was after a security suite, not an virus scanner only. So he didn't pick them up on their offer.

BTW, he should have given that 12 month free license for Bitdefender AntiVirus Plus to me instead of binning it.

No problem. I just wanted to get things cleared now.
Because my friend and his girl go back to Germany at 4am tomorrow morning. (To beat traffic congestion.)

BTW, all 4 licenses they have (since 23 Nov 2013) are still working he says. That's 2+ months.

@BoraMurdar Congrats to you.
Mission completed.
Thread derailed and and dead.
You truly are a Giveaway and Hot Deals expert.
P.S. I should have listened to my girl. She said right away that you were just derailing the thread.

Good luck here and farewell. NOT.

It was not Bora's intention to "derail" anything. The thread is not "derailed" ,although if we start calling members out on the boards it surely will be derailed.

Forum Rules; http://malwaretips.com/pages/rules/

II. Code of Conduct

Here are things that will get your comment or forum post removed and quite possibly get you banned. Note that this is not a comprehensive list. Our moderators reserve the right to remove anything we deem inappropriate.

  • + Spam: Zero tolerance, of course! If it comes from a human or a robot, spam will be deleted. This includes self-promotion. Generally speaking, promoting your projects here will be treated like any other spam.
  • + Personal attacks: Don't attack or insult another user. It's not helpful and it doesn't make MalwareTips a friendly place. This includes calling other members trolls.
  • + Illegal activities: Posting links to illegal downloads, ways to steal service, and other nefarious activity is not OK here.
  • + NSFW material: Nope, not allowed. Even images or links that could be considered borderline are not acceptable. A good rule of thumb is that anything beyond PG-13 will get you in trouble, but we reserve the right to remove any post we deem offensive. This goes for porngraphic material, vile language, gore and generally gross stuff.
  • + Racism, sexism, and other discrimination: Attacking entire classes of people is just like attacking a single person: we'll ban you for it.
  • + Trolling: "Trolling" is a big, messy term, but we know what trolls are and we won't tolerate it. If you're abusing the good conversations here at MalwareTips, we will take your comments and posts down. This includes taking a thread off-topic, by the way.
  • + Multiple accounts and throwaway emails: We don't allow multiple accounts per user. Using a disposable email address signals to us that you might not be here for the right reasons. You also may not create accounts designed to impersonate another person.
  • + Cross posting: Don’t make duplicate posts across different forums — it clogs things up and fractures the conversation.
  • + Complaining about coverage: We cover a wide array of topics, not all of which are easy, comfortable, or reflective of your personal views. This applies doubly to review scores. While we’re not against discussions of our coverage, plainly stated accusations of bias are usually an indication that you’re not trying to be a productive member of the community.
