Thanks for the test @Shadowra.Can you retest K7 Ultimate by yearend?
yeah the powershell sample is one which i found in the wild. However, ikarus's problem is false positives as when it sees any other VT detection it seems to flag it as wellI think Ikarus improved in detection.
Took a few fresh samples in Bazaar and run them. Guess what, Ikarus is one of the early detectors on multiple occasions.
That is why I do not agree with those finding FP not a big deal and just incovenience; they are an integral part of evaluating AV efficiency.yeah the powershell sample is one which i found in the wild. That's why BD and Kas are top rated. Detection of script when it was first uploaded on VT. Happy to see BD not using GenericKDThat is why I do not agree with those finding FP not a big deal and just incovenience; they are an integral part of evaluating AV efficiency.
I can simply create an AV which flags every sample, it will get 100% detection rate and an equal percentage for FP; indeed it will not miss a sample, but also I will not be able to use my OS.
Detect by CTX also; I wounder how much it will cost annually? That's why BD and Kas are top rated. Detection of script when it was first uploaded on VT. Happy to see BD not using GenericKD

Not much in copying Bitdefender. Maybe a bit if they use BD's SDK (which i am not sure they do)Detect by CTX also; I wounder how much it will cost annually?
Even K7 is improving its script detections. Also detected it.That's why BD and Kas are top rated. Detection of script when it was first uploaded on VT. Happy to see BD not using GenericKD

Couple of hours and it will be detected by most on the list.Even K7 is improving its script detections. Also detected it.View attachment 292235
I am planning to test K7 extensively soon. If anybody has a spare licence, i would love to stress test it for months and give my detailed opinion about it.Even K7 is improving its script detections. Also detected it.View attachment 292235

Not sure 26 hours should be enough for detections but only one extra AV detected itCouple of hours and it will be detected by most on the list.
Does not necessitate to falsely detect system files to cripple productivity, detecting several 3rd party apps (or related components) can do the job.If the FP is a critical OS System File, then yes it likely will make your PC corrupted. But if it's just any App file, a Restore from Quarantine and Exclusion will help solve thr FP temporarily until the detection is removed by the AV vendor.
There's a huge difference if we compare the ratio-proportion of FP for OS System Files and any App Files.
Be patient, they will pass the signature to each otherNot sure 26 hours should be enough for detections but only one extra AV detected it

If only VT can have the timestamp of when the specific signature or hash was added to the AV vendors Pattern file, we will know who detected if first and lastBe patient, they will pass the signature to each other![]()
A 30 days test of K7 with my config(Advanced Security - Captain's Configuration 2024-2025) would be Ok for most of us.I am planning to test K7 extensively soon. If anybody has a spare licence, i would love to stress test it for months and give my detailed opinion about it.

Bitdefender is a well-known antivirus software from Romania.
The software is often highlighted and ranks among the leaders such as Kaspersky and others.
In this version, Bitdefender focuses more on AI Machine Learning to detect unknown threats.
Let's take a look...
Interface :
The Bitdefender interface has remained unchanged for several years, except that it has been refreshed since the 2025 version.
Everything is very straightforward, and AutoPilot provides advice on choices to be made (activating ransomware remediation, blocking cryptojacking, etc.).
The software is lightweight but becomes resource-intensive when in use.
Web protection: 7/7
All links are blocked.
3 link dead
Fake crack : 1/1
Blocked
Malware Pack : Remaining 19 threats out of 71
Initially, Bitdefender worked correctly and blocked the threats and traps I sent it.
Its responses were very fast and effective, and above all, it blocked malicious connections.
However, it let through a GDI malware that started displaying graphic effects (I didn't include everything because it hurts my eyes) and restarted the machine after 5 to 10 minutes.
The machine ended up blocked without the MBR: the malware corrupted it without any reaction from Bitdefender.
Too bad.
Final scan : PC destroyed
Final opinion:
Despite this misstep, which cost the virtual machine its life, Bitdefender remains a very good antivirus software.
However, I would have preferred it to add protection against MBR modifications, as the GDI malware was able to carry out its actions without any problems.
I believe you are in India, if so do you have any intel on when a new K7 version will be out? It's been stuck with v16/17 for a while now.A 30 days test of K7 with my config(Advanced Security - Captain's Configuration 2024-2025) would be Ok for most of us.![]()
