LOLI do not sync; my principle is "what happens in Windows, stays in Windows".
Bookmarks are saved as html file. How do you keep tracks of all your bookmarks (and settings)?
The chance of targeting g drive servers is higher than that of my old pc.
Neither do I.I do not sync; my principle is "what happens in Windows, stays in Windows".
What do you need to sync? I keep sync turned off and I only sync my bookmarks usung Flocus (connected via webdav to Koofr)I am disturbed that there is no option to sync end-to-end encrypted; even Chrome has a sync passphrase option, even if it's not enabled by default. This is one of the reasons I prefer Firefox and Brave.
What do you need to sync?
If I don't use notes (or bookmarks) judiciously, I am afraid I am going to forget who you are soonSettings are saved in my mind.
Individualization; no magic configuration fit for everyone. You ask as if I have some kind of master plan; it was just part of the available features, and I turned it on (obviously). I run Firefox on several devices, and I like to keep some of the bookmarks accessible, since I don't want to search for links to launch the sites. Settings and add-ons are sort of nice too.

I still can't give you aIndividualization; no magic configuration fit for everyone.
As for myself, in Brave I sync between my devices:
Bookmarks
Reading list (a quick link reference to websites I found interesting but didn't want to bookmark)
Settings
Theme
I don't sync Extensions as I use different AV browser extensions between my PC's , and don't want them to sync when I uninstall an AV, or trial a new one with its browser extension.
It seems that Floccus is perfect for both of you especially if you have multiple browsers. This way you can sync bookmarks across browsers. Give it a try and thank me later. This way if you decide to stop using one browsee, there would be no need to export bookmarks as you already have them stored in Floccus. You ask as if I have some kind of master plan; it was just part of the available features, and I turned it on (obviously). Btw you can also sync bookmarks using your password manager. Sticky Password has a dedeicated feature for saving bookmarks.
I believe Vivaldi does assign a unique ID to each installation, too.So now you can be fully targeted by Brave as an authenticated user. They will now have your exact ID based on payment data so they can fully harvest your data. Yeah no thank you.
I always found Brave highly suspicious and now this confirms it.
And the best thing is that it is totally free.As you said, it looks like it covers a lot of browsersI'll look into it more, thanks for mentioning it, again

I really do love WebDav. I have most service connected via this protocol. Joplin, Enpass, Floccus, and Zotero. This way I have control over my data and this makes it harder to lose anything. I can migrate from one service to another without being held captive by any service.I’m afraid I have to thank you now (noted in my notes). You know the law of momentum. We'll probably postpone doing what you suggested until the last minute unless our browsers start to pull a pixelated disappearance.
Yeah but at least it's an unique ID and not your ID. The payment data allows them to directly assign the unique ID to your payment data as an fully confirmed user that will follow you everywhere. Total 180 from what it originally stood for (privacy).I believe Vivaldi does assign a unique ID to each installation, too.
I'm sorry but anyone using Brave for "privacy" needs to reconsider many things. It is bloated and it has crypto built-in, and ad programme and it was caught in manu controversies before. Most people I know are using Brave because it blocks ads and it provides fake sense of security and privacy.Yeah but at least it's an unique ID and not your ID.
