I am in need of help, I tried everything I could possibly come up with but I can't make my problem go away :emoji_disappointed:

Not sure when or where but I must have cought an annoying little thing that makes my browser open up randomly with some game sites and such. I do have an antivurs installed but it didn't seem to catch anything, says my PC is clean (and no amout of explaining it's not helps ;) ).

I tried to read up some posts with similar problems but...another strange thing happens when I try to look-up Farbar on my browser - it just crashes. The moment I hit enter my browser is down and I have no idea what is going on?

VLtani, I don't think this is what you are experiencing, but...I felt like I needed to post this somewhere, and this was so strange, maybe it could be part of the issue.

My web browser kept opening, incessantly and repeatedly whenever I was in games or using any software which required an extended press of my mouse button. I didn't make the connection to my mouse until I had re-formatted, re-installed, tried old images, everything under the sun. It was by pure chance, I recognized a connection between holding the left mouse button down for more than a couple of seconds, my browser would open (didn't matter which browser I set as default. It affected all browsers), and any additional press within a couple of seconds would open a new browser window. It was sooo frustrating. Like I said, I re-formatted, re-installed, deleted partitions, ran anti-virus software, looked at browser extensions, searched multiple forums. I could find nothing and nothing worked!

On a whim, I switched out my mouse... it fixed the problem!! I have NEVER experienced anything like this before. The mouse I was using was a CYBERPOWER PC Gaming Mouse. Exactly like the mouse in this review>

Hello, Welcome to MalwareTips.
I'm nasdaq and will be helping you.

If you can please print this topic it will make it easier for you to follow the instructions and complete all of the necessary steps in the order listed.
===

Your security program may have quarantined the Farbar program.
Check the Quarantine folder in your security program.
If it's there restore the file.

If not available reinstall the application.
When you download the program keep an eye on any message from your security program and accept the download. The file is safe if downloaded from this site.

Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST).
Choose the 32 or 64 bit version for your system.
and save it to a folder on your computer's Desktop.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

How to attach a file:
In the Reply section in the bottom of the topic Select Click the Choose a File.
Navigate to the location of the File.
Click the file. It will appear in section.
Click the Saving button.

Please attach the logs for my review.

Wait for further instructions
