Hello, my computer is experiencing some problems since last week. One of them is a bsod when launching a program, garena.exe to be exact. It's like Steam but different games.

Anyway, the BSOD occurs after I log in my account. Listed below are some of the things I did before I experienced the BSOD.

I installed a program called Razer Booster or something (sorry, I forgot the exact name) then I disabled some of the services that is not being used when I'm running League of Legends (through Garena) through the Razer Booster. And then I'm not sure what else I did after that. Then the BSOD occured.

Right after the first BSOD happens, I experience a series of BSOD even if I'm just browsing. The first thing I did is uninstall the Razer Booster hoping that it would fix the problem, but it didn't. Then I used the "last known good configuration" option. Then it looks like it solve the problem of the series of BSOD. The only problem now is when I'm logging in to the Garena program.

On a side note, the BSOD does not occur when I log in when the computer is on safe mode.

I also experienced a BSOD right after I removed a flash drive on a USB Extension Cable, though It only happened once so far.

Sorry for the long post, I hope you could help me with this problem. Thanks a lot, guys.

Hello,

Before uninstalling Razer Gamer Booster, did you revert any changes the program made?

Do you have any System Restore points prior to installing Razer Game Booster?

Do you safely remove external devices (from Windows Explorer / System Tray), or snap out the cable once you've finished with them?

Uh, no. I instantly uninstalled it when the BSOD happened.

Do you have any System Restore points prior to installing Razer Game Booster?

No, sorry. I don't have any system restore points prior to that.

I did try using the safety remove but it said that it is still in used which I'm not. So yeah, I snap it out of the cable after that.

Thank you for replying on my post.

Download BlueScreenView by NirSoft, it will contain useful details regarding any BSOD.

Please attach the latest minidump file(s).

Uhm, I finished downloading it, but I think my computer is not saving the minidumps. The program doesn't show any minidumps on the minidumps folder. Any idea on how will I allow it to save the minidumps?

Under System Requirements from the link provided, there's a link to how to configure Windows to create minidumps.

Since your problems started after making changes to your system with Razer Booster, I recommend reinstalling it again in Windows Safe Mode and undo the changes that your made. There should be a Restore option on the program.

You may have to move through each individual setting and select Restore.

Which version of Windows are you using? 32 or 64 bit.

You may need to manually restore Windows default Services.

I can't give you the info without knowing which version of Windows you are using.

Enjoy!! :D

Update:

Hi again guys.

I've done what Littlebits said.

I tried restoring the services to its default, windows default to be exact. Then I did a restart. Tried the Garena program, then it worked. Since I uninstalled the League of Legends before, I tried installing it again using the garena plus program. Then it was able to load but not to the point where it starts to install the program because it suddenly showed a blue screen again. Then after I did another restart, it went back to how it was before. Just logging in the garena plus program gives me a blue screen.

Here, attached the txt files which contains the minidumps.

Thanks again.

Those attached files are not minidump files, that is just a listing of them.

You need to go to the Full Path: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\ and include those files.

Download and install WhoCrashed. Click Analyze and scroll down to see the results.

Copy or take screenshots of the results.

When using NirSoft BlueScreenView, select one of the dmp files in highlight and right click select "HTML Report -All Items". It should open in your browser, copy and past the reports.

Thanks. :D

I need to see the Crash Dump Analysis on WhoCrashed, you did a pic of dump files which are basically useless to resolve the problem.

Click on Analyze then move down to the Crash Analysis report.

Example:

Thanks. :D

Edit: Never mind you corrected the WhoCrashed report.

By looking at your Crash Analysis, there are several things to indicate problems. The first thing that comes to mind is defective RAM or not enough RAM installed on your system. To rule this out, I recommend testing your RAM. How much do you have installed? you maybe need more to play games.

The one that I use is here.

If this is something too complicated for your to do I recommend taking your system to a PC Repair Shop and ask them to test your RAM.

How old is your computer? and could you tell me what programs run at system startup? What other security software products to you have installed? are you sure that you don't have a malware infection?

Thanks.:D

I think I do have a malware infection. My antivirus, avast, is detecting an infection on my svchost.exe and I think it was called wind32:vitro gen and malware-gen. I also checked the analysis report, and it seems that the crash is coming from avast. So what I did earlier is, uninstall that copy of avast, and replaced it with a new free copy. Oh yeah, the old copy of avast is illegally licensed.

And I think uninstalling the avast was a good choice cause I was able to log in again on my garena plus. I'm currently installing the League of Legends, it may take 5-6 hours more to finish. I'll give you an update after that.

Though while waiting for it, could you help me remove the malware infection? I tried using the malware-bytes but it doesn't remove the malware that is being detected by avast.

Thanks again.

EDIT:

The programs that run on start-up on my desktop are
- Avast Anti-Virus
- IDM
- Net Limiter 3
- Tray It!

That's all.

And the desktop is probably 2-3 years old.

For Malware Removal Assistance you need to make a thread here- https://malwaretips.com/forums/malware-removal-assistance-for-windows.10/

When dealing with trouble malware that can't be removed with the standard tools- I always do complete Windows reinstall, that is the only way for sure that you know all infections are gone. Sometimes that is not always an option, so go ahead and create a thread in the Malware Removal Assistance.

I seen the crash reports about Avast but that is also common with bad RAM where it can access memory. PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA is usually caused by system memory management. Although some malware infections also could cause this error if they deny access to system memory.

But I believe you should test your RAM to make sure it is not bad.
How much RAM does your system have installed?

Never download hacked versions of software, a lot will come with some malware that is usually not detected. Those type of infections will require a lot of advanced techniques to remove. Always get your downloads from trusted sources to avoid problems.

Thanks. :D

I only have 2gb of RAM. I also posted a thread on the link you provided with regards to the Malware Removal. Thank you.

Also, could you please help me in using the Memtest86+? Thanks again.

With only 2 Gb Ram your better not installing League of Legends and playing this Game.

Uhm, I'm not really sure. I can play the game just fine. And based on the system required as stated by the game, I need a minimum of 1gb to play, and 2 if I'm using windows vista or 7, which I'm not. And I've been playing the game in the same desktop for 3 months without ever having the need to change my RAM.
