I have a dedicated Hyper-V VM for malware analysis, ie before I use something on my physical machines, I'll scan them on the VM. The clipboard-sharing between host and VM is disabled. No network shares mounted on the VM, no credentials in Windows Credential Manager, no gmail account logged into, etc etc.

If I run KVRT with everything enabled (all volumes - Only C drive in this case -, system memory, boot memory iirc, everything that KVRT offers), can KVRT accidentally scan the host machine as well? I hope not, as that's not the goal; but thought I'd ask. Sorry if low IQ question.

Thanks

No, KVRT (Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool) running on a VM (Virtual Machine) will not scan the host machine. It only scans within the environment it is run, in this case, the VM. Your host machine is safe.

fwiw on some of my VMware vm I have enabled copy & paste text, but have drag & drop disabled. I think that's reasonably safe  and helps with keep notes updated.
