Can't get rid of adware on google chrome

I have ads attaching to pages still (ads by block the ads) and google drive redirecting to weird sites when I click on files.

Can you reset your router?

I don't have a router but an ethernet cable going directly to a socket in the wall. Now I haven't seen the ads for a few days.
