Chaz's Security Config

Thanks for sharing your config!:) It's very straight forward, & thumbs up for setting UAC to always notify. I've followed Exterminator20's tips for extensions too! For secure password handling, try Lastpass (the extension only) where no app w/binary file is needed (when 'add-on meter' stops at 85%, ignore it) Once I'd come to trust how well it works, it created an all around smoother online experience for me. You might also consider Adblock & Scriptblocker, & even Ghostery to dispense with trackers. I wholeheartedly recommend Sandboxie Free http://sandboxie.com/ utilizing what's called a "Sandbox" in which all invisible & visible malware remain separate from your system's hard drive all thanks to this safe containment for your Chrome browser.;)

Hi folks,

@ Exterminator20 ... will HTTPS slow down getting to the sites!?!? And do all websites support it, even the Fishy Sites?

@Cats-4_Owners-2 ... Sandboxie ... so how do you use it ... when Installing a New Program do you guide it to install in SandBoxie ... try it then transfer to your C:\ official drive!?!?

Thanks ...

G! :)

Sandboxie's protection begins when opening any browser in a containment "sandbox". This can be helpful for those who visit game sites, worry about opening e-mail, or just want to try an extension first before deciding to keep it. While in the sandbox, any changes made to the browser such as themes disappear when you delete the sandbox leaving your browser just as it was, & cookies get deleted too! So, browser updates you decide to keep must be made outside of it. Using Sandboxie becomes an easy habit. Jack's post, http://malwaretips.com/threads/roccos-config-any-help-please.22710/#post-161805 #15 at the bottom, below Virtualization, includes a helpful video which shows how Sandboxie works, & can recover only those downloads you trust, & choose to allow through. Watch it, then try it!;) http://sandboxie.com/
