Chrome beta 10 integrates JavaScript optimisation technology

Google's "Crankshaft" technology for the runtime optimisation of JavaScript, first released in the developer preview of Chrome last December, has now been made available to a wider audience in beta version 10 of the browser. The developers' "aggressive optimisations" have reportedly improved the browser's JavaScript performance by up to 50% compared with the previous version. The developers also say that they have accelerated the browser's JavaScript property accesses, arithmetic operations, tight loops, and function calls.
