Chrome VS Chrome-based browsers

Hi guys! Today I would want to know your opinion about this: is it better using Chrome or Chrome-based browsers (like Chromium, SRWare Iron, etc.)

Consider that Chrome patches vulnerabilities and flaws very very faster (generally it is more safe), but Chrome-based browsers are better in terms of privacy.

Personally I prefer Chrome, what about you?

Being behind a few weeks, is not really an issue, known malware bypasses browser's protections all the time, patched or not.

I still prefer a patched browser, it is more secure, and fast patches means lower malware risk.

I use Chromium stable version (by Woolyss)
it doesn't have chrome's bloats like software_reporter_tool.exe, crash report, autoupdate services,...
obviously, it's smoother

it always receives updates within a few hours or maximum 1.5 day after goofle chrome

But does it notify you about updates available, since you have to download it manually always?

it does. I use chromium with chrlauncher, which will notify and download updates whenit's available

That whole forced log-in fiasco a few weeks ago where Chrome was loging you in when you signed into gmail made me take a serious second look at alternate browsers.

It is fp, installed it aswell

On topic: im using google chrome as mainbrowser, but for browsing always looking new alternatives.

Yandex & comodo dragon are my favorites of chrome clones

it's outdated
woolyss added those missing components in his chromium base. There are many options on his website for you to choose like chromium with codecs or without google services or webrtc
