chromosearch controlling internet searches

Searches from google.com, yahoo.com, and bing.com are usually forwarded to chromosearch.com, which doesn't load any results. Reloading google.com will sometimes allow a successful search in google.

My research says chromosearch.com is a 30 day old website. I think it is malware or something similar, and I want it removed from my friend's browser.
I'm not familiar with Farbar yet, but am willing to follow instructions.

Finally got the computer back for a moment. It belongs to someone that visits my house occasionally.

This is happening in Chrome but not in Explorer. Should I simply reinstall Chrome?

What happens if you disable all Chrome extensions?
