No I would not say it is easier to use Linux. As an example I recently found out how to add a colored bar to Windows, turned out it is not an option in Appearance, but switching in the Window Manager from the theme I am using to Daloa style. Problem with Linux is that there are over 600 distro's, because developers want to do/create something differently. This echoes through some parts of User Interface, making it less intuitive to use.Linux is free, Windows is not, and you have either to buy a license or use some activator.
Apparently it's easier to use Linux, but the stats show its share in minimal.
There must be a good reason; are users avoiding linux to suffer more!
Apple, Microsoft and Google based systems will always be friendlier to use because they apply style guides when developing software and are obliged to reuse and use the components of the technical architecture, making them way more effective in software development.
