Decided to bit the bullet and purchased the ASUS FX504GD-E4335T model, since my 7-year-old workhorse (Core i7-2670QM) is dyingly slow.

Since it will be my main workhorse, mainly will be use for photo/video editing with some bit of games.

Just a little correction: Either you mean the 1050 Ti with 4GB of video memory or the regular 1050 with 2GB of video memory :). Also, unless you absolutely need to, I would wait on the ram upgrade until the prices become more reasonable. I also found the 2TB Firecuda on sale for $93 on Newegg :D

Mine is Definitely 4GB for 1050

I would probably upgrade my components after my warranty expires. So far, I guess I can make do with what I have. Only compromise I would withstand for 2 years is the storage. 128GB SSD isn't really gonna get you anywhere and 5400 HDD is gonna slow you to death lol...

I guess different region would suite different needs. Recently there's a PC Show event in my country. So far I see most of them offer 4GB 1050 or 1050Ti.
