Hi Guys,

We are excited to announce that COMODO Internet Security 2012 has just been released!
This is the fastest, lightest and the strongest CIS that has even been released.

We would like to thank all of our BETA testers whose feedback made this release possible.

FIXED! CMC is not shown properly
FIXED! Startup folders are not configured for all users

Updated 10/20/2011: Program updates are released as of today.

Updating from CIS 5.5 to CIS 5.8
There will be a 2 stage updating mechanism for old users. The initial update will be updating the updater to the latest version which is capable of upgrading to CIS 5.8.

Updating from CIS 5.8.x.2124 to CIS 5.8.x.2131

If you have CIS 5.8.x.2124 installed, you will also receive a small update. Pls check the updated release notes for details.

so then, for users, don't forget to do a clean installation. uninstall the beta, clean the leftovers with the uninstalling tool ( http://malwaretips.com/Thread-List-of-Uninstallers-and-Removal-Tools-for-Antivirus-Software?pid=25799#pid25799), then re-install the final release.

small tip: to avoid the first full scan asked by CIS (and change the orange shield in the UI into green), add *.* to the exclusions list (antivirus tab), it will do a scan during around 2mn., then the shield will become green, then remove *.* from the exclusion list

Yes, we've had it since Friday.

Although Egemen hasn't made a release thread, it appears that the internal updater is able to update to the final.

I don't know if it is able to update from 5.5, or just from the beta of 5.8 at this time.

yes, actually updating it via the internal updater (from v5.8 beta), Egemen didnt made the post in comodo forum yet. surely during the day.

no issues during update and installation.

i downloaded the beta version couldn't w8 as you said final release is available through update i must say its much lighter!great work this is surely one of the best security suite available right now :)

yes around 11-15k working set for both processes, few suites can say the same.

finally updated it and i'm loving it.i hope they change their skin in new version 6 this would be kinda nice.

you can change the color scheme in the preferences tab, i use the black one personally.

upload it at the moment, BUT it stopped 2 times. :(

sorry for delay. due my upload speed. just 28-32kb/s at the moment.

About updating to new release (via Comodo Forums):
Updating From Previous Versions:

We are going to issue the automatic updates starting from the next week. So you do not need to uninstall your current version and reinstall this one.
However, if you do not want to wait until the next week you can do one of the following:

1 - You can use the installers below to update your existing copy. Just run it and it should update by keeping your existing settings.

2 - You can uninstall the old version and install this new version: This option is also suitable for most people.
