I'll say neither :D
But if I have to choose between the two, I'll say Comodo.

I say neither because :

Comodo: While it has an excellent firewall and a very good Sandbox (and VirusScope), its database is very disappointing... A user told me that Comodo was going to improve on this point, so I'm waiting to see.

Panda : An antivirus that has lost its value over the years...
I'm due to re-test it after eScan and K7, and I'm waiting for something new, but I don't believe it.

I know that Comodo`s AV has not been great for sometime but Panda still seems to do well in some independant tests?

As always looking forward to your tests, particularly Panda`s detection rate.

Regards and Thanks Eck :)

Yeah, we’ll just keep waiting you know… forever 🤣🤣🤣
Panda seems like a dead project now. Their forum is disastrous. Protection technologies don’t really evolve even in the business version, I read the release notes sometimes. They update the cloud console but nothing mentioned in terms of engines.

Technical support is incompetent.

Once a leader, today a joke. Very sad story with them.

I find most of this effect caused by operator and not so much the software lol, of course this depends on just how real world we are talking, because skewed reality gets comical. 🤪
Last time I tried it, majority of the modules were last updated 2 years ago. I don’t think that “the operator” is responsible for updating the program code. 😀
Or maintaining the forum.

Or improving the web blocking that misses 9/10 malicious pages.

I meant in terms of habits, most software is sufficient. Unhealthy habits need more security.

These comments actually were not directed at any product in general but as to the effectiveness of protecting one from themselves.

Of course my main goal of giving users a laugh certainly accomplished. 😉

This is true, but I am not sure what could cause someone to run software that is severely neglected and of a very low quality. Something that awfully looks like abandonware 🤷🏻‍♂️

Because the internet says its good, or a poorly worded search algorithm lead to post of users claiming its the bees knees, just as searches lead to the cyber war were all trapped in the middle of and need armor and special helmets for.

Joking aside, it is those searches that lead users to misinformation. The uninformed suffer greatly due to this, and once informed realize there is no need, its ironic isn't it?
