New Update CyberLock 8.0

Hey Guys,

We have released the software below to the public. The auto updates are not activated yet, we will probably activate them in 1-2 weeks.

I really will catch up on the posts asap... sorry, I have been extremely tied up trying to finish up these releases.

Hey Guys!

CyberLock 8.0 is coming soon and here is an early beta version. There were massive changes under the hood, mainly streamlining and moving code from the GUI to the service so that CyberLock is more enterprise like. There will probably be a few small bugs, but so far it is running extremely fast and smooth. But if you guys find anything that needs to be fixed, please let me know!

Aesthetically this version looks about the same as before, but that will be changing sometime in the next few months as well. But under the hood, this version has tons of changes. I think you guys will be surprised how smooth this version is running. There were also around 20-30 small bugs / annoyances that were fixed in this version.

CyberLock 7.90

Thank you guys!
Dan seeing your Dog in this post, makes me think of losing my 2 babies 2 months ago... I had them for 16 years, both large dogs, they were my best friends. I don't remember crying in my life, even over pain or loss., at almost 70, you can imagine I have had plenty. But After I lost them 2 days apart I cried everyday for 3 weeks... It's so hard to lose a dog, especially as Americans, we seem to bond with them differently than other parts of the world. Saddest thing I ever experienced, even the loss of my parents didn't effect me like that.

That's because, at least here, dogs are family and not just seen as pets.

I really don't want to bash on CyberLock or understate any of his products. I really love them otherwise I wouldn't have purchased CL in the first place. I am just stating that I currently don't see any major difference between the standalone SiriusGPT (free) and CyberLock (paid). So no offence to @danb at all. (y)
SiriusGPT and CyberLock share a lot of the same tech, but there are quite a few differences between them. CyberLock is targeted toward companies and security enthusiasts, whereas SiriusGPT is developed for everyone else. CyberLock has become more user-friendly throughout the years, but SiriusGPT really is one of those apps that everyone can handle. Thank you!

installed 8.41 over 8.40, it had mini balk again shutting down 8.40 but completed ok, I see I have 48,881 tokens down from 50,000 but I'm not aware of having done an analysis of any specific file with siriusGPT from 8.40 (or even how do one since the integration w/CL)(well I did see an automatic siriusGPT analysis of an unsigned exe so I guess that was it -- ok!)
Yeah, some background processes use up tokens. Please let me know if you guys think 50k per day is not enough.

Hello,
I installed CyberLock 8.40 over 8.02 and I enabled "Display simple user and mini prompts". I ran 7-zip installer and I got the SiriusGPT prompt. SiriusGPT correctly identified it as Safe unlike WhiteListCloud which flagged it as Not Safe. I allowed it and the executable went through.
I must add that in my CyberLock settings the WhiteListCloud feature isn't enabled.

[Edited] However I got a minor issue by using the context menu "CyberLock scan" instead of simply running the executable above: after deleting 7z2501-x64.exe from CyberLock whitelist I right-clicked on the executable and with the context menu "CyberLock scan" I got the SiriusGPT prompt without "Auto block paused" on top left, but clicking on "Allow" did nothing (i.e 7z2501-x64.exe didn't run even if allowing it added the exe to the whitelist). I used the context menu once more but the exe still won't run.
I don't know if this context menu behavior is intended or not. As I wrote above I'm using CyberLock 8.40.
Yeah, if you are scanning an item and click the allow button, that does not automatically execute the file... it simply whitelists the file. So next time you run the file it will be allowed. Whereas if you try to run a file and CyberLock blocks the file, when you click allow, the process will continue to execute.

It could be an issue if Sirius GPT and WhiteListCloud don't show the same verdict at least 99% of the time otherwise which one should users believe?
Yeah, we need to somehow make it clear to the user that Sirius is more like an AV engine and WLC is a reputation / global whitelist. For example, a file may not be malicious, but it may not be prevalent enough to be considered Safe on WLC.

I am sorry to hear about your loss, I hope you are doing better. Yes, losing a pet is just as bad or worse than losing a family member. Dogs really are the best ;).

Yes, and we will probably add the Snapshot Scan to CyberLock at some point as well.
now I am confused, I have Cyberlock 8.45 with siriusGPT integrated and right-click of taskbar icon shows Snapshot Scan -- or is that the old WLC scan? I thought I saw a popup that made me think it was sirius snapshot...

Yeah, CyberLock has the single SiriusGPT scan, for like scanning a single file. But we were talking about the Snapshot Scan where it scans all of the running processes... that is what we are going to integrate into CyberLock at some point.

ok, so the right click is WLC snapshot... as it always was...

yes and thank you to you, for the kind words, and everyone else also...

I am better, but I think of them several times EVERYDAY. I have always just bonded with dogs, even as a little boy.

Funny story, so this isn't all gloom...

I remember so clearly an incident with my mother, my dog, and myself. I was 4 years old (yes I can remember that far back, and even further) I was sitting in the back seat of this new car my dad just bought for my mother. I had a terrier, her name was squirt.

My mother had just stopped and bought me a vanilla ice cream, while we were driving to my grandmothers house, my dog was sitting next to me. I would take a lick, then give squirt a lick, this went on for a few minutes. Then I hear my mom's voice, and see her eyes in the rear view mirror, as she is watching me. She asks me "Rod are you letting that dog, lick your ice cream cone"? I say "no"....She just snickers, knowing I saw her looking, and still I gave her the never mind, I got this, please don't bug me, reply.

We finished the ice cream together...

How can something that already runs smooth run any smoother? It's like saying that resistance has been even further reduced in the superconductor

But resistance can be reduced on a superconductor. Higher metal can be used, wider poly, less-jagged lanes. Sorry, I design chips.

Do you mean a semiconductor? Since the property of a superconductor is 0 Ohms else particle accelerators would fry with the amount of Amperes flowing through those magnets. Once a superconductor gains resistance the field collapses and it quenches.

Ah, indeed true. I got confused and thought you said supercomputer. I blame whiskey.
