Any reason for disabling Smartscreen?

I would re-enable Smart Screen, in deactivating it your hobbling one of
MS native protection resources, not a good Idea.

No backups?A really bad idea.You can try Macrium Reflect free or Aomei Backupper free.

Enabling smartscreen, and finding some sort of personal and system back solution or method is about all i would add to this config.

+1 for Firefox.

• You can use LastPass for password management.

• Use uBlock Origin to block ads on the web pages. Most of ads are tracking you and serving malicious softwares to visitors in this century.. Arm yourself!

I am also not fan of SmartScreen. If you have important files make a external backup of them. Others are good for me.

I would do data backups, enable Smartscreen, add Zemana for scanning, and have some sort of password manager. Other than that.

I just checked SmartScreen has been enabled all this time, as my Firewall too (I use Kaspersky Firewall). Thanks for being so helpful guys, thanks to you I know things I wouldn't if I hadn't joined here

Thanks for your help. I receive the updates via Windows Update, I am downloading the new version right now.

Fine configuration, Kaspersky IS product contains a lot of features that you can explore and test it.

Application Control is one of the useful component but binds of possible consequences if you configure incorrectly.

Well, I just set Maximum app control and just that.. nothing more.
