Deciding on installing Opera for Android? Here are the key differences:

"Opera Mini is a cloud-based browser that takes very less space on your phone. All your browsing with Opera Mini goes through Opera servers. These servers compress web pages, including text and images, down to 10% of their original size. Because of this, Opera Mini is able to open websites even when you are on a congested/ fluctuating/ bad network area.

The Opera browser for Android is designed to give you a full-browsing experience. That means websites open as they would on your desktop computer. It’s best to use this browser on your high-end smartphone, especially when a majority of your browsing happens over Wi-Fi. You can watch full-quality videos, stream high-quality audio and generally enjoy pages, even if they weren’t optimized for mobile viewing."

I used Opera Browser on Android.
In the settings,
Enabled Data Savings - turning on the Video Compression and set Image quality to low.
Advanced Mode - turn on Block pop-up and enabled text wrap.
Noticed quite a significant increase in browsing speed.

Didn't try on Opera Mini hence couldn't comment on it.

Thanks @Huracan for the info particularly on Opera Mini!:) I've tried The Opera browser on our tablet, and liked it's performance. Currently, all browsers other than the stock + CM AV's private browser (included w/app) have been removed due to crashes.o_O I blame our bargain tablet... Now, I shall try Opera's Mini thanks to you!:):)

I like Opera for the fact that you can minimize its content when in a data plan (similar to Explorer on a windows phone).

Its pretty obvious you will see through the pages rendering view, where Opera mini when sites viewed are classic and not graphical opposite to Opera browser itself but nevertheless both reliable on majority of smartphones.
