Hi I'm having a hard time deleting a virus. I did a full scan with Microsoft Security Essentials and it alerted me for win32 gamarue gen!a virus. It wouldn't show the file location but it was in a HKLM\Software file. I removed the virus from quarantine, cleaned my registry with CCleaner and reset Chrome settings, but the virus kept showing up after rebooting. I switched from MSE to Avast just to show the file location. Avast didn't catch any viruses but kept blocking a threat from differentia.ru/diff.php and showed the process Windows\SysWOW64\msiexec.exe with it. I did a scan with FRST and I attached the files as required. I also tried to scan my laptop using MalwareBytes 3 but for some reason the scan always stuck and after that I had a hard time quiting the program or doing anything else as long as it remained open, until I uninstalled it. I would be really glad if someone could help me with this!
