Yep. The rollback is nice.
I just don't ever use that PC except for rare occasions, so I just wanted a hands off suite that would kick butt.
Avast is going on it now.

This is ate-up. I am able to send packets, once again, but I cannot receive any. When I "ping -t" nothing happens. Status shows "connected; 100mb/s"
What gives?
No browsers will connect to the internet.
Maybe I have a bad cable or cable port (tower) and it is just a coincidence. Regardless, Bitdefender I.S. 2013 is still grayware in my book.

I have never seen an AV take over 1 hour to install on that computer, or any other computer.

Are you using a single core CPU by any chance? What are your system specs?

I've installed Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 on a 2004 Celeron with 1GB of RAM, and it took like 30-40 minutes. On my dual core with 4GB of RAM it installs in a minute max.

Btw, the correct way to uninstall it is not with Revo or other uninstallers. Uninstall it first from Control Panel, select "complete removal" from the Bitdefender uninstaller, restart. Then run Bitdefender Removal Tool to clean all the traces left.

From post number 36:

That PC is used only for email and printing email, and I never click on spam email links, and it is as malware free and responsive as one could hope, esp, considering that it is 3G of RAM and 2.5Ghz. Besides that, it has always been very responsive and ALWAYS connected to the internet with no hangups.

Dual Core Pentium

This particular PC has never, never, experienced anything like this.

That's some of the cases for Bitdefender 2013 version where performance issues occurred however most of users claimed its fine from the system even the older versions too.

For hardware specification, from it looks any AV product can install well as long its match and works perfectly however really disappointing when those behaviors acts in a matter of after installation or few days ahead.

My sentiments exactly.
Well said.
