I think I do have the best security for my purpose, maybe not for someone else

What areas do you think can be improved?
don't know, maybe a little faster on startup speed and better BB, better firewall (not really needed for me)
I care more about usability and performance rather than security. I buy my laptop to use and have fun, not to overly protected it
This setup seems to be complicated but no, it won't generate many popup or notification as you may think. It generates even fewer popups than UAC at default setting

Can anyone use your security config and be as safe?
yes, sure
I may make a complete tutorial how to setup avast free to be almost bulletproof except being targeted by hackers

Layers
- 1st layer - web filters: Google Safe Browsing, Malwarebytes, Norton Safe web, Windows Defender Browser Protection, uBlock Origin, Avast Web Shield (tweaked for a bit better detection)
- 2nd layer (a malware has to go through each sub-layers in order): Avast File Shield -> VT Hash Checker -> NVT syshardener, custom settings to patch avast's weaknesses -> Windows Smartscreen with Runbysmartscreen by Andy_ful -> Avast's Hardened mode aggressive
- 3rd layer: Comodo Firewall with CS's settings, as an anti-exe and a reputation checker
- 4th layer: Avast's Behavior Shield + Comodo Firewall's Virusscope (allowed to run outside the sandbox)

I have tested this setup for months-years without any issue. They are whitelisted to each other

Avast free is tweaked to reduce telemetry as much as possible with hosts file and firewall

This setup is very very lightweight
little CPU and disk consumption. RAM usage is also very low

What is at the root of the best security is the user's wisdom and awareness. I think that security software is merely materializing what the user wants.
For users who are good at knowledge, I guess that you can configure effective defense only with comodo and Browser add-ons. That is true only with individual skills of knowledge. In other words, I think that it is necessary to know the minimum knowledge when using it.

  • Do you consider your own PC security to be the best?
Definitely not. I'm not locking my system down. I'm actually trying an extremely light combo to test the compatibility of non-instrusive/injective software, mixing Windows Defender (ConfigureDefender), OSArmor, Windows Firewall Control and safe habits.
  • What areas do you think can be improved?
Definitely I do not have the best detection system, but my style at the moment is to avoid 3rd party antivirus since I am tired of browser and app injections breaking everything and giving me blank screens or random errors.
  • Can anyone use your security config and be as safe?
Complemented with safe habits and knowledge, I think this is a really great protection technique, avoiding incompatibility, slowdowns or errors/blank screens. Safe habits and browser protection (uBlock, noCoin, NoScript, HTTPS Everywhere) should avoid malware downloading. In case some new malware tactic pops up and I'm somehow targeted, OSArmor should help me there. And WFC will give me the control over the connections in my system in case any software server gets compromised (a.k.a CCleaner)
  • Reasons why it might not be?
It may not be safe for a regular user/average Joe, who will just download cracks and keygens or surf with an ad-blocker. It's suppossed to complement the daily online knowledge. Wouldn't install on my mom's PC.
  • If your security is not the best, why do you use it?
Because I'm trying to step aside from 3rd party companies that inject everything they can and break most of the scenarios for the "benefit" of protecting me from something I'm not ever facing. Windows Defender is supossed to understand Windows kernel at its most and be the less intrusive possible.
