No longer using a VPN service, although they are useful in certain circumstances. I don't find them particularly good to use for general use, unless you're a journalist behind a censored net, or heavily monitored network.

Additionally, as I recently discovered, if one service is blocked, there is always another service available.

No, I'd never fully trust a VPN. Heck, people get cheated on by their partners after 30 years of marriage.

Of course, I use VPN services, but I'm always aware of possible limits.

Warrant canaries are useless. The authorities will put a gag order on the vpn not to disclose the investigation.

@Zero Knowledge: Are you sure you understood the canary concept fully? Gag orders are the very reason it's been implemented in the first place.

You should never trust your VPN provider (or anyone for that matter) 100%. NSLs, Gag orders, data collection, malicious use of information from staff, selling data to 3rd parties, server compromises, etc. Anything can happen.
