ok but to log into my account isn't going to be easy to get to this right?
You won't have to login to your password manager to access an exported CSV file, anyone that can find the file will potentially have easy access to your saved data.

They would have to have access to your account. But then saving an encrypted database on the Password Manager server would be even safer as the database itself is encrypted.

It is wise to use a secondary password manager as a backup. I am using Dashlane and I do export the vault to an encrypted .dash file periodically. And I also have Sticky Password which I use as a backup.

One can simply create an Excel Doc and encrypt it for storing all the username & password. It is simple, easy to mange and secure. Even if you lose the Excel Doc, it is encrypted anyway.
What about synchronizing in monthly bases, should I create another excel doc or update entries manually?

The cloud storage company employees have access to your files, and if a hacking attack happens to the cloud service it will be easily accused by the hacker, I recommend you encrypt all your files that have sensitive data with a service like Cryptomator - Free Cloud Encryption for Dropbox & Co before uploading it to be more secure.

The Cryptomator vault consists of multiple encrypted files rather than a single container file. If one file is damaged, it can compromise access to the entire vault.
This is my problem with it.

I noticed that too, I think encrypting the file using 7-zip is more convenient and secure at the same time, in the end it is just a small file.

I mainly rely on KeePass as my vault. I find it simple to print out my passwords clearly twice a year. My wife knows where the print is if anything happens to me. I also use Proton Pass for logging onto sites like MalwareTips. On my Apple devices, I also use Apple's new password manager.

If I understand it right, every password manager you use have different passwords, you don't sync their vaults' together right?

KeePass has all my passwords, and Proton Pass and Apple's password manager store only those needed by specific online sites. For instance, I only log into MalwareTips on my pc, not on my phone.

How do you manage to sync passwords between KeePass and other password managers? I tried to sync my Bitwarden vault monthly with KeePassXC, but it was a hassle, I need to replace my old vault because every time I merge the vaults I get duplicates.

KeePass is like my password vault: when I create a new password with Proton or Apple, I store a copy in KeePass. I also make an offline backup of KeePass once or twice a month. I use Proton to sync certain passwords between my PC, iPhone, and iPad, but when logging in only on my iPhone or iPad, I use Apple's password manager.

Thanks for sharing your experience, you gave me some good ideas to try.
