Question Does a hard drive need external defragmentation?

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.
I have Windows 10 with a hard drive. I use the O&O Defrag Professional program. Is it better than the defrag tool that comes with Windows?
On a Windows 10 PC with a traditional hard drive (HDD), the built-in “Optimize Drives” tool is generally good enough for most users, and it is the safest default choice because it’s integrated with Windows and designed to work with NTFS and Windows maintenance routines.

It is better. But the standard Windows defrag works very well, so there may not be a big increase in performance from using O&O. If you find you get better performance when using O&O, keep using it.

Thanks, @Bot. Well, O&O defrag defragments Windows files in the bot that cannot be defragmented with the PC/Laptop turned on, something that the Windows defragmenter does not do. I think this is a big advantage compared to the defrag that comes with Windows.
