As an Official mirror, I would recommend MajorGeeks for download:

Some Softonic downloads may contain Adware, or what I've heard.

On MG, check the reply by Timothy in the comments section.

For some reason MajorGeeks is still hosting Beta 4 not the final release.
I couldn't find any info on their forums about this final version and no other download links available except for Softonic which it looks like their changed their default downloads to Softonic.

I downloaded the Softonic file and it did not appear to have any adware included. It was not one of the Softonic bundled installers, it was digitally signed by IObit.

However I don't like the fact that IObit is not using MagorGeeks as their default download links as they have in the past.

Softonic does offer their adware bundled installers like Cnet for many files hosted on their site.

Enjoy!! :D

RE: Driver Booster v1.0.0.727 released

IObit Driver Booster 1.0 FINAL exits beta and splits into two editions: the Free build allows users to check for and update their drivers, but throttles download speeds.
Upgrading to the PRO version comes with the promise of up to 300 per cent faster update speeds as well as better technical support.

Faster when updating drivers.

For me free version is enough, and its speed is also acceptable.

RE: Driver Booster v1.0.0.727 released

Windows Action Center does a better job at detecting drivers, than this. I used an earlier version, a beta release and it only found some ATI CAP Profile(?) (can't remember the name), but since it's no use to me. I declined and uninstalled.

I was surprised to see a PRO version released, at $29 it's definitely not worth it. And I can't say much for the FREE version either.

It's better to update drivers manually, software can do mistake easy.

Very true, I wouldn't recommend this for an average home user.

However it can be helpful in a tech's hands for speed only instead of having to manually look for each one. But you gotta know if there is a wrong one before you download. But having a list of what's out of date helps a LOT. Much like false positives in antimalware software, you gotta know what you're looking at.
