Technology Elon Musk's X down for tens of thousands of users [Updated]

It's a slippery slope, when you start deciding what is and isn't free speech and you start banning, limiting. or restricting speech you don't agree with democracy becomes useless.

Either everything is allowed including the terrible, awful and bad or nothing is. You can not have it both ways. Blatant illegal content is obviously illegal but you get the point.

There should be rules but blocking or banning people because your political views do not align or agree with them is wrong.

Debate, discuss, criticize, object, reason, analyze, respond and create spaces that allow ideas to be challenged not censored.

Elon Musk’s social media platform X was down for users worldwide, with thousands reporting issues with both the website and the app.
X was not loading for many users on February 16th, with first reports showing the site was experiencing problems on Downdetector, which monitors the status of websites online, around 13:02 GMT, or 8:02 ET.
The issue appeared to be global, with reports flowing in from all over the world, including Germany, Japan, the UK, and the US.
Cybernews was not able to access X, formerly known as Twitter, for about an hour and the half. It was first greeted with the ā€œsomething went wrongā€ error message and then the website wouldn’t load at all.
It's not yet clear why the platform was down.
Reports seem to have spiked about half an hour after users first complained on Downdetector. An hour later, reports were still coming in in their thousands, but some users started to report that they could now access the platform.
The last time X was down for an extended period was in November last year, when it wasn't accessible for about three hours as part of a larger internet outage linked to a technical issue that impacted the services of Cloudflare. X was also down in January, when users reported issues with the app, feed, and timelines, as well as the website.
