@EricHilton1987:
  • Enable, UAC at least, to default.
  • Consider also to run manual backups of important data to external devices, and/or in cloud services.
  • As for "Virus and Malware Removal Tools", You may add: MalWareBytes Fre and HitManPro Free.
Please kindly reflect Your changes editing Your config, and announcing them here, thanks for sharing :giggle:

Thanks for the feedback! I have made updates to UAC and I have added more details on my backups and additional antimalware.

The most secure setting is to set the UAC level to “Always Notify”.
See below examples that were remediated or fixed by setting the UAC level to “Always Notify”:

Virus and Malware Removal Tools:
  • I would remove Zemana as the newest version (3.0) is prone to false positives and it seems like their support isn't dedicated to the product anymore.
  • HitmanPro (free version only detects malware; you need the paid version to remove), ESET Online Scanner (thorough but heavy), and Norton Power Eraser (very powerful but prone to false positives; for advanced users) are some alternatives you can install instead of Zemana.
