eScan updates individual components of the product through regular updates of the program. A new "version" released on their website is actually akin to an upgrade, like 2019 to 2020 etc. - the trend for eScan is to release such new versions twice a year.
For corporate editions it is possible to remote upgrade the computers. For home/SOHO edition manual installation is the only option.
