ESET NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security and ESET Smart Security Premium version 12.1.31.0 have been released and are available to download.

Changelog:

"Today v12.1.31 has been released but since it's a staggered release, not all users will receive it immediately. It may take some time until the product updates to the latest version automatically.

A release announcement will be posted later today after an official release."

There are a lot of unknowns about this new behavior blocker. Does it learn rules from the cloud, for instance? It's a good step though.

In the HIPS department. If you have the new version, it will be between the 5 "active HIPS", settings, and Ransomware protection. In the antivirus, it's in the "basis" settings. It's very hard to miss.

I received the update to my EIS, and used this website to test its responses to test challenges:

Maybe not a complete test but a place to start. For me, it passed all of the website's tests.

Glad to see ESET going in the right direction and listening to user feedback about implementing a BB. Although it's too early to test the effectiveness of the BB.
