ESET is a Slovak cybersecurity company founded in 1992 and headquartered in Bratislava. It is best known for its NOD32 antivirus technology and develops security solutions for both home users and businesses. ESET focuses on malware detection, proactive threat prevention, and cybersecurity research.

ESET HOME Security Premium provides multiple layers of protection, including real-time antivirus and anti-malware protection, ransomware protection, anti-phishing technology, firewall protection, and safeguards against network-based threats. It also includes additional privacy and security tools, such as password management, data encryption, and protection for online activities, depending on the platform and subscription features available.

Let's find out!

Interface :

The ESET interface remains just as user-friendly and has the same layout.
During the test, I simply enabled detection of suspicious applications and set HIPS to “Smart.”
There's no need to push the engines to their limits.
The product is very lightweight.

Malware URL : 10/10
All website has been blocked by ESET

Fake crack : 1/1
The dropper is not blocked (SFX archive) because it is password-protected.
ESET tries to analyze it, but it's password-protected.
During extraction, ESET stops the process using a new feature: BH (Behavior) detection. Well done!

Malware Pack : 12 out of 84 threats remain
ESET provides excellent protection. A piece of malware tried to install itself through memory but was blocked by ESET, so I'm restarting the computer to complete the cleanup.
Only one script remains, which opens multiple windows; ESET blocked the attempt to use PowerShell during the restart.

Final scan :
Eset : 0
KVRT : When not in use, the computer doesn't show signs of a major infection
Symantec : 3

Final opinion:
ESET offers excellent protection.
It's very lightweight, leaves the system virtually clean (except for a script that will be stopped upon restart), and intercepted an attempt to compromise memory.
Highly recommended.

Thank you for the review. One of the things that I like about ESET, is that it uses less CPU when downloading large files compared to Gen D solutions such as Norton. It's HTTPS/SSL inspection module seems much more efficient.
