App Review ESET Smart Security 6.0.308.0 Prevention Test (MrITReviews)

It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

Default settings - no zero day prevention.

You may want to consider Policy/Interactive to show the users since many do not know or understand about the HIPS component.

I'm sure on request, he'll conduct a review with custom settings.

"Default settings - no zero day prevention"

I disagree with your statement saying default has no 0-day prevention. While custom settings may help improve to protect the user, it doesn't mean no HIPs = no 0-day protection.

I am referring to the HIPS which is the strong point of the zero day protection in ESET's case.

Threatsense is still based on Heuristics. But since you mentioned, someone correct me if I am wrong on this one:
Heuristics work on the basis of past infections (looking at coding and functions of past infections). This is basically the same core function (in easy theory of a Behavior Blocker) but then considering malware and infections are constantly evolving, it will miss new infections, hence the zero day protection being basically none.

Oh Thanks, I don't know that No HIPS | BB | SandBox does not mean that there is not Zero Day Protection.
