I don't expect any big change or new feature in new version. Even if they release new security feature it will most likely be included in high tier subscription plans.
For Antivirus, the change will probably be only new version number.

Would be nice if I could actually cut its logging down, all I can do now (not like in the past) is by filtering' mask its logging, with filter enabled it still logs away, its not a huge issue as I delete unwanted logs. I also have 'customer experience program' unchecked & it still sends autonomous info frequently - Today: '06/09/2026 07:33:44 AM;ESET Kernel;Anonymous statistical information was sent to ESET' There was more than one entry, Not by any means problematic, but it should not do that, love the program though.

To disable sending of anonymous statistical information, go to Settings - Cloud based protection and in Eset Live Grid section disable option Submit anonymous statistics. There, you can also disable sending of other data and files or disable feedback system entirely. Just leave reputation system enabled.

I would like to see more deception tech, maybe include come canary's or some thing similar to alert you when a attacker is on your box.
I have so many canary's I sometimes forget and click the wrong file, would be nice having official AV canary's.
Otherwise improved tamper protection, but honestly not much else at this stage.

Out of interest, after another look around settings, I found the log files settings that have been moved, now they under, advanced settings, troubleshooting, log files, why the settings are (hidden) under troubleshooting eludes me? But there they are

There are two sections in 'advanced / troubleshooting' as regards logs, one is 'advanced logging' which remains untouched, the other below 'log files' in a drop-down in 'troubleshooting' to adjust time to keep logs, max size of logging, type of logs, critical, informative - This section used to be just in advanced not under troubleshooting, its not actually in troubleshooting but appears when you click troubleshooting but below it, without adjustments in that sections it logs like there is no tomorrow, for me especially unchecking the 'Audit Log' at the bottom which made dozens+ of logs a day, 'filtering' in Advanced, 'tools' at top only adjusts showing various logs displayed on x day, it does not prevent it. - IMO its a bug & should not be where it is?
Of course logging is personal but for me I don't need to know all its as it updates many times a day & all the changed settings which happens many, many times a day & saves this info for 90 days? I do want to know if there is an issue, sites blocked etc.

“Audit Log” has apparently been added because of the ESET Small Business Security and ESET Safe Server offerings. These are products for small businesses, but technically, they are just rebranded versions of the HOME Security product.
They are not based on the full-featured Endpoint Security.
