A Reuters report states that the EU is suggesting a law which would prevent children under the age of 15 from using social media, video-sharing platforms, chatbots, and online games, with exceptions in the case of supervised use.

The EU Kids Act is expected to be introduced on Thursday, but the draft may still be subject to change and must receive approval from the EU member countries and the European Parliament before it can become law.

The proposal involves fines of up to 6% of a company's annual sales, and the law's application goes beyond social media companies to include app stores and AI companions. The proposal establishes different rules for different age groups.

This is easier said than being done. Hard to implement to ensure it works as intended.

The stupidfication of people continues. It's just going to breed illiterate teenagers with zero understanding of the complex world.

Creating controls that a 5 year old can get around won't work. Banning things doesn't work.making things illegal doesn't work. Get real!

EDUCATE your people, educate them to make good decisions in life and online. But give people a choice, no point having rights if your not aloud to use them.

This is the way.
