I moved completely to WizFile after your recommendation, it is exactly what I want in a file search utility, if I want an application launcher it will be Listary definitely.
@partha_roy What's the difference between WizFile and Everything? WizFile is better than UltraSearch because it can detect changes in real-time like Everything but does it have any advantage over Everything?

It depends on what features you need in a file search utility and how or why you use it. I use it to search for leftovers after uninstalling apps, so I don't use it in a daily basis to search for files or launch apps, I was a long time Everything user, and I was very satisfied with its speed, then I tried to move to UltraSearch just because it doesn't use index file, but it doesn't show changes in real-time, and you have to rescan every time to get latest changes in my use case, but I tried to handle it, until it start to stuck when update in the latest version, even uninstalling and reinstalling make crashing in both procedures, over that it have a big size "around 77 MB" and it takes so much RAM "around 350 MB", so I started to search for alternative again.

Here is where WizFile shines for me, in my use case it has the benefits of both apps in one app, it's small and light on resources and scan the system fast without index file, and it shows changes immediately by refreshing in no time "by clicking F5", although it has filters for size and time for free "which is paid in UltraSearch", and it is dark by default "yes I'm a dark mode person", and it has a better default settings, I used to implement UltraSearch settings over Everything because I found it better for me, in WizFile all I have to change is adding recycle bin to exclude list and that's it.

So it depends on the end on how you use a file search utility and what is your needs from it, for example if I want an app launcher I will use Listary as it is smarter than for example Flow Launcher or Fluent Search "both have more feature than Listary by the way", but Listary integrates with file explorer and makes finding files way faster and smarter, their file search utility is still in BETA, so I will keep eye on it, I'm currently using Open-Shell Menu as alternative to Windows Start Menu for launching apps, and it is good so far.

Both deliver exceptionally fast search results on Windows; however, WizFile offers an aesthetically pleasing dark theme that I really liked. It also has predefined filters to sort files by size categories that I did not find in Everything. While definitely not a deal breaker but it's a nice touch in my view

Similar for me. I sometimes use it outside of leftover searching but not every day. So, I don't even install it. I use the portable version.

That's a nice advantage. As I use the portable version of Everything, if I restore a system image (Hasleo Backup) then I have to manually open settings and make it rebuild the index file to update the C drive. I won't need that in WizFile as it reads NTFS Master File Table in real-time without relying on a index file. Also so far, I never had to manually refresh. Changes have been immediate.

Same here. Though Everything 1.5 alpha is also dark by default.

Thanks for mentioning this program in this thread. I even emailed them 2 days ago asking for a feature request to never save search history (Everything has this feature) and got a reply within a few hours that they have put my request in the Wishlist and might implement this feature in a future version.

I also tried Listary and Fluent Search and was very impressed with Listary. I also found a bug. Though it's very smart, at the moment it cannot find options which are part of Windows Settings. I mean for example, if I search update/check for updates, I expect it to find the Check for updates settings page of Windows, but it doesn't. Maybe @Spartan you can contact the developer on this since you already had a chat with him on a different matter.
