App Review F-Secure Internet Security 2026

It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

So it sounds like in true reality, I may want to re-consider my "love affair" for F-Secure. Before I even saw this video on my Surface 5 Laptop, today I uninstalled F-Secure in favor of ESET Internet Security (I have a active subscription), as F-Secure's slow loading of Brave and Chrome was enough to make me switch. Besides IVPN is a better VPN all around than F-Secure's.

Thank you @Shadowra as it seems to be time, no matter how many beta's and versions they put out, that really haven't included anything profound security wise.

Please reconsider your evaluation. You can see the banner that tells you to take the test result with a grain of salt. I won't take further, but personally I see nothing wrong with F-Sescure.

I don't have a memory of a fish but a couple of years ago, Eset was bashed here and it lost its fame after some "misleading" tests. The same is now happening again to F-Secure. I believe this is wrong and misleading.

I am not defending X product, I am just pointing out that what is going on the way those tests are conducted is not proper and does not reflect real-world situations to say the least.

Those tests are for fun and should never be used to conclude anything or drive decisions.

Edit:

Feel free to take a look at

I did, and have it on both laptops :) It was a short lived response on my part to the test, and was quickly dismissed to keep on using it, with confidence :)
Glitch free, no ads, no pop ups, just the right amount of setting, no bloatware tools or modules (Internet Security) great browsing and banking protection, and device security.

I love F-Secure and I wanted to use it as it does not filter https (using MITM), but unfortunately it is blocked in Egypt. Do not worry, my friend, you are well-protected. Do not let your trust be shaken by a test without a proper methodology and not based on real-world scenarios.

wondering, do you know why F-Secure is blocked in Eqypt, (short answer is fine if you know)

Contacted F-Secure support 2 years ago and they said it is due to "embargo sth".

Malwarebytes, Opera browser are also blocked. Avast used to blocked. Almost every single VPN provider is also blocked.

You did the right thing. I don’t look at those tests anymore—not even the ones here. I just look at how a product performs on my computer. F-Secure is a good product. The switch might not have gone perfectly, but it still runs smoothly on my computer and doesn’t cause any problems. For anyone who isn't careless, any product can be a good choice. I still like this product.
