Browsing Protection​

• Consistent naming for the Browsing Protection extension across all browser stores: removed “… by F-Secure” from tooltips and pop-ups

• Fixed: User is not notified when the Chrome or Edge browser extension gets removed
• Fixed: A rare occurrence of VPN incorrectly reporting connection to a node when not actually connected

• Fixed: The events panel inside feature cards (e.g. Device Protection, Scam Protection) was not scrollable

They're using the AviraSDK, so that replaced it with the Firewall sensor and Behavior Detection, so I don't ever see that coming back.

is strange to see how F-Secure had such a nasty fall and all the nancy from users who previously used the, OG F SECURE, is just that back in the days and am talking 2010's, including the 2010, it was pretty good.
it was good up until 2017? when a little bulb had lit up and they exterminated the firewall and now even DeepGuard lol
which is a problem, because this + Avira(GenDigital) being on display is a huge middle finger to their once, valuable prestige.

I had a cliche client, unusual one to rephrase, who asked me what do I think of a possible lightweight but dextrous suite, and i was like ok... hmm...F bla blah, it was an idea that died this way because I then looked it up, and surprise, saw a massive product downgrade. This was in 2022, so then I went with Trend Micro.
what happend is that — F Secure let go of the consumer product and mixed but invested all the effort in their enterprise signature "WithSecure"
their consumer AV is simply 10% F Secure+90% GenDigital bloat

so the once EU privacy AV is now simply under U.S flag but indirectly said.

New feature: Scam Scanner

We're introducing Scam Scanner - a new feature that helps you detect potential scams in images. You can now analyse screenshots or photos directly from the home screen using Quick Actions. Simply tap the Scam Scanner tile, pick an image, and the app will check it for scam indicators and show you a verdict along with recommended next steps.

Known limitation: The error message for running out of monthly Scam Scanner quota is a generic “Something went wrong” in the initial release.

Supported Windows 10 version change

• Windows 10 version 21H2 (build 19044) is no longer supported. The oldest supported version is Windows 10 version 22H2 (build 19045).
