🆕 [New Android Tool] URLCheck – Take Control of Mobile Links & Prevent you from disaster

URLCheck is a newly released open-source Android app by TrianguloY, built specifically to help users defend against phishing and malicious attacks that often originate from links in mobile apps.

🔐 Why it matters:
On mobile devices, links are often opened from an application directly in a browser — without giving the user a chance to inspect deeply the URL. This makes hacking easier and detection much harder to avoid explosive damages and possibly ruin your life if you are not assured by a company.

URLCheck solves this by putting you back in control and trust.

🔍 Main Features:
  • Intercepts and previews links before they are opened.
  • Displays full redirection chains (e.g., shortlinks like t.co or bit.ly).
  • Lets you choose which app to use to open the link.
  • Maintains a history of opened links for later review.
  • Lightweight, ad-free, and fully private (no data collection or tracking).

📱 Ideal for: Users who want to stay safe while using apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, or any app that opens external links.

Thanks for your comment!
I see where you're coming from, but actually, URLCheck is already quite automated once you set it as your default link handler.

the UI might seem a bit dense at first, but once it’s set up, you rarely need to touch the settings again, the goal isn’t just automation — it’s awareness, even for non-technical users, just seeing the real URL (or a suspicious redirect) helps them think twice before opening something dangerous. That moment of hesitation can prevent phishing, credential theft, or worse.

Personally, I use it with AdGuard Browser for Android in Privacy mode — it integrates well, and the experience stays smooth. I just tap a link, URLCheck intercepts it, I glance at the destination, and then open it in AdGuard if it looks fine. Fast, efficient, and far safer than blindly opening links.
