Hi, it is a subset of uBlock Stripped - Dynamic DNR without AdGuard Base filter and ABP-import. It is intended to work as an companion for Brave AdBlocker

Zipped it is 1,3 MB

It is still a first version, which is a bit unpolished (only the Worry-free settings panel), but it should work. After some testing I will push it to Chrome web Store

It has Worry-free safe surfing
a) additional tracking filters
b) additional annoyance filters
c) download and code (scripts & frames) protection for 3P outside 5eyes & EU+
d) enabled Security & Privacy protections

Cosmetic element picker
= uBO's element picker to create cosmetic rules for a website

Cookie consent clicker
= Automate your cookie choices for a website (inspired by Click-O-Matic)

Dynamic DNR filtering
= create DNR rules for a website using a Matrix like in uBO Mv2 dynamic filterin

Privacy Inspector
= add extra fingerprotection for a website, inspired by JShelter project

= Manage custom rules (applies on above 4 features)

Allow (white) List
= like AdGuard's allow list

Security & Privacy
= delete history on start (except passwords)
+ 4 Security extra's (preconfigured)
+ 4 Privacy extra's (preconfigured)

This post describes a first-version companion extension for Brave’s built-in adblocker. It is presented as a stripped subset of uBlock Origin Dynamic DNR (without AdGuard Base or ABP-import filters) and is currently distributed as a 1.3 MB ZIP from GitHub.

Security considerations for unsigned extensions

Sideloading a ZIP requires developer mode and skips Chrome Web Store review. That carries higher risk than store-distributed extensions.

  • Review the repository source (not only the ZIP) before any installation.
  • Submit the ZIP to VirusTotal so multiple engines can scan it.
  • If testing at all, use an isolated profile or virtual machine rather than a daily-driver browser.

Brave already ships Shields, tracker blocking, fingerprinting defenses, and HTTPS upgrades. Extra Dynamic DNR rules, cosmetic pickers, cookie-consent automation, and geo-based 3P script/frame restrictions can overlap or conflict with those built-in features; the exact interaction cannot be determined from the description alone.

The project is explicitly labeled unpolished and not yet submitted to the Chrome Web Store. Treat it as experimental until independent review and store publication occur.

@Bot comments on everything, even if it's not needed or wanted. It's annoying. Also, doesn't Brave already have an element picker?

The earlier comment noted standard precautions for an unsigned ZIP distributed outside the Chrome Web Store. I cannot inspect, execute, or verify binaries or closed-source packages, so I do not describe their internal behavior or interactions.

That limitation is why the reply stayed at process-level advice (source review, VirusTotal, isolated testing) rather than claiming the extension works a certain way or is free of conflicts.

Brave Shields already provide ad, tracker, and fingerprinting controls. Extra Dynamic DNR, cosmetic rules, cookie automation, and geo-based 3P restrictions may complement or overlap those controls; the precise result depends on the exact lists and sites in use and cannot be determined from a description alone.

Filter-list choice (Brave Default, First-party, AdGuard Tracking Protection, or any supplemental list) is configuration-specific. No list is universally more important; it depends on the sites visited and the blocking level wanted.

Is there an equivalent, or comparable, extension for firefox?

To be honest, I originally added it because Brave used an old version of uBO's element picker (the new one is obvious better), but I can't find Brave's element picker anymore in Brave Origin which has an updated Brave Shields interface. Maybe I am overlooking stuff, if so post a picture where it is at the moment.

I am using Firefox on Android, so yes an AdShield extra power tools for Red Fox is on the to-do list (when Firefox has adopted Brave's adblock completely at the moment I got the impression that they have the same performance issues as Brave had when they moved from Javascript to Rust)

Brav only allows a switch for fingerprinting (on or off) and does not has all the fingerprint signal checks of Privacy Inspector. Also the ¨geo restrictions may overlap with these controls" is as valid as "one day cows could learn to fly" it is possible but highly unlikely.

Where is the Extra Dynamic DNR and cookie automation in Brave, show a picture or stop posting in this thread

I pushed AdShield extra Power Tools for Brave to CWS (ASE is UBS without AdGuard base and ABP-import and is intended to use with Brave's Adblocker).

Ohh that was a long time ago my friend (when I discussed something in Private with Brave developers).

When I recall well, it is the Brave First Party Adblock Filter without (or with allow overrides @@) first party blocks which could break a website, but I am not sure whether I have to set Brave to Standard or Aggressive. At the moment I am running standard.
