Before i am announcing the new version i would like to address those who did have warnings from their antivirus regarding my software and regarding my site.
Ask anyone here my software is clean, my site is clean. No matter what your antivirus says i guarantee that my soft is free from BS.
However to make things more easy i did buy a SSL certificate because as a sales trick (i am not going to mention names) but i talked to 3 different antivirus companies about getting my site white listed. And guess what i have been told? (On writing) that they will NOT, i repeat NOT put my site on the white list UNLESS i buy a SSL certificate from THEM. Because their policy is that self signed certificates are by default blocked and remain blocked. (Which is the biggest BS in the world and just a cheap trick to gain money SPECIALLY the certificate i use is issued by PLESK Parallels and its only being used for Admin login, keeping in mind that on
http://fma-is.com https is not even on.
So i told them to #####-off and got myself a SSL certificate trough my host which is 95% cheaper then what they (Av brands) charged me.
Same applies for malware detection's by for example Bit-defender engines which is being used by 25% of all AV brands.
Its just a FP and it drives me totally NUTS when i get screaming emails from so called knowledgeable members telling me what scumbag i am because i am trying to infect their PC. The one and only reason i am being detected by BD is due to the fact that their Heuristics is set to unreliable high standard which turns their engine in a false positive monster. And sometimes i am getting detected due to the fact that a file does not have enough reputation. In both case its a FP.
If you see this happen? Submit the files to them and have it white-listed. I always send my program to every AV out there before i put it online and real antivirus companies like Kaspersky, Eset, Norton and the other good brands respond within max 2 days.
Bitdefender and most of these SO SO brands take up to 3 weeks. Which really hurts new developers like me and many others.
Anyway enough bitching lets get to the good stuff, see this picture below? Take a good look ...enjoy guys.
Alright ladies and Gentleman,
Today is the day that
CCSU PR-Guard has been updated to
Version: 10.1.10.16
And guess what? It has now our EYE Anti-Malware Module build in. Yes that's right its a secondary scanner.
Very basic but extremely effective.
What does it do? Well as mentioned before (Let me repeat it for those that refuse to keep track of the topic and start asking questions that have already been explained) EYE Anti-Malware Module is a emergency utility to get rid of nasty malware.
NO its not a full anti-virus and does not have all the funky features. It just scans the memory (On demand) or any folder + sub folders (that are not locked by windows) So if you see a folder like this:
See the little lock? Don't bother trying to scan it, it will FAIL. It does not have a real-time engine, as i mentioned it is a tool like Norton NPE, Kaspersky TDSSkiller (Or similar tool). It pretty much does nothing more then
Scan + Detect + Remove = JOB well done.
*Note: It does require a active internet connection + admin rights.
As mentioned in the previous post the detection is not very high at this point as i am manually adding each detection from the cloud to the program which is a very precise and time consuming process. In the next few days i will do whatever i can to bring it back to the standard set by our CBAD engine (If you remember)
I encourage everyone to download the new version from our site because the EYE module cannot be obtained trough the regular update function within
Version 10.1.10.15 or lower so uninstall it first and then download
Version 10.1.10.16
I also would like to encourage everyone to rate and test the new CCSU Guard, make reviews either video or text and be active involved.
Remember i said that i want to turn it into a Swiss Army Tool? Obviously i am not going to do that alone, so if you want to help? The pitch in.
Any serious feedback, tips, hints and bug reports are greatly appreciated.
I am planning in the next few months to seriously change CCSU Guard and give it everything that a true Swiss Army Knife needs and i will make sure that within its respective type of program it will be great and set a new standard, but as i mentioned i cannot do that alone.
Anyone willing to help (Not just Bla bla help) but i mean anyone willing to get dirty fingers is most welcome to make this program truly amazing.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank every single one of you for reading my topic's, allowing me to be me, putting up with my bullshit and supporting me and my products, and i want to thank those who gave me technical help, advise and support.
Very nice guys thank you so much.
That being said lets turn CCSU Guard in the best tool around.
Are you up for it? I certainly am.
Question what is your opinion about the program as it is and the way its heading?
Kind Regards,
Nico
