I'm not a firewall expert and haven't tweaked those settings, I think the firewall rules at my Mikrotik router are enough

Back to WD, Avast was slowing down boot times
EDIT: I'm using highest cloud level and whitelistened my dev folders

Yes, I disabled NP in my host for performance reasons but the VM uses HIGH preset as it is with up to date Windows Update patches.

No, not possible. Everything is tied to the Real time protection.

I won't say limit since it only affects bonus dynamic tests.

Most of the behavior detections are made in the cloud backend. That is true for most AVs, so the offline behavior blocking is usually weaker.

I just use Sumatra PDF portable. Lite, safe, secured. It also supports epub, xps, cbr and few other types of files.
