I'm doing a lot of experiments and will do a dual boot system with Windows when I'm done. I'm pretty sure I'll install either EndeavourOS or openSUSE Tumbleweed.
If I decide to go for a more relatively stable distro then it will probably be Nobara Linux (based on Fedora stable) or maybe Manjaro but that's unlikely at the moment.
I prefer KDE desktop environment.
Of course, Windows will still be my main OS. Linux is for fun and learning.

I totally gave up on Windows, bored of all the bugs. So far did not miss it one second.

If you were trying to configure a Linux distro to work as an internet router (e.g. DHCP support, firewall, etc.), what distro would you prefer? I'm currently developing with Ubuntu server, but I wonder if there are other distros that are known for their network stack? I'm aware that FreeBSD is a common one.

If i had secondary laptop or pc i would install linux on it, my choice would be pop os!

Well i could install linux on my current gaming desktop and play war thunder from steam and runescape from linux launcher, but its wiser to use windows on this computer due all drivers and compability

If i wanted to buy new cheap laptop its hard to choose between chrome os and cheapish linux laptop, privacy wise linux wins but in security ( pc for elders for banking/youtube etc. chrome os wins probably)

Pop is not actively maintained, i have it here on my Daughters PC and the update cycle is not fast.

Its still safe distro to use and they focus on cosmic so i dont see a problem, but if you want more regularly updates you should just use more maintained distros

i have old laptop from 2007 and it runs debian well :D but i prefer pop os somehow..
Pop is really nice, ;like i said i have it on the other computer here. Gaming is good, she plays Roblox, Minecraft, AmongUs without any issues.
