Greetings,

Recently I found a malware on my secure preferences file, and I've scanned with Hitmanpro, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and only Adwcleaner detects a homepage "malware"
Code:
http://www.ask.com/?l=dis&o=14597cr
located in C:\Users\Marky\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Secure Preferences.
After removing it, the "malware" comes back once I restart the system or when I open Google Chrome.
I don't want this "malware" to cause any issues in the future.

Is there any possible way to remove it?

Regards.

Hello,

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.

  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

Greetings,

As requested, I opened the application and pressed fix, I restarted the system, but when I scan with AdwCleaner it detects two malwares instead of one now.
I uploaded the AdwCleaner.txt and the fixlog.txt file.

Regards.

After applying the fix, both malwares still stay even after removing them.

Okay, let's try like this:

- Uninstall Google Chrome with this option checked:
1234.png
- Click Start, copy in search %LOCALAPPDATA%\ and remove folder Google
- Install Google again, but do not install any extension and do not sign into your Google account.
- Run Adwcleaner and let me know if it is clean now.

It seems that once I log-in to my Google account, so that I can get my bookmarks and extensions, the malware appears, is there any way to remove it, even if I'm logged in?
