Installed Chrome again to check it out. I've got different extensions installed, but I'm using only µBO @ hard mode ATM, for speed as much as anything. Chrome certainly is the easiest to set up by far of all the major chromium browsers.
And I found Vivaldi to be most complicated to set up. There are billion different settings and I never know what each one does. This is the reason why I gave up on it. I considered using it on Android, but seeing I can remove pretty much everything except the bottom status bar which annoys me so much, I settled with Brave.

I just wish Firefox would be better, but apparently Mozilla doesn't care about its Android version. It lacks A LOT of features and settings desktop variant has and it's way more power hungry than any other browser out there, including Chrome. Until mentioned gets better, I'm Brave user regarding Android.

Today, on one of our systems, Chrome disabled uBlock Origin, Google Dictionary, and the IDM extension. Currently, you have the option to reenable and turn on these extensions. Do you have any information on how long Chrome will continue to support MV2 extensions?

Exactly, but most settings are good in their default state, what I care for is the privacy settings, and they are clear to understand, about GUI settings I change when needed during usage.
For the status bar, you can hide it as follows:

Hide the Status Bar

To hide the Status Bar or display it again:
  • Go to Settings > Appearance > Status Barto decide whether to:
    • Always show the Status Bar;
    • Only show status info overlay;
    • Hide it completely.
  • Go to
    Vivaldi menu button
    Vivaldi Menu > View > Show Status Bar.
  • Type “Status Bar” in Quick Commands.
  • Use the Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S / ⌘ / to toggle the visibility.
  • Create a Mouse Gesture for the action.

If you have upgraded Google Chrome to the latest version already, you may have noticed a new type of popup that the browser uses.

This toast popup appears centered at the top underneath the tabs. It confirms actions to you and may also provide you with follow-up options.
Google has not added an option to the Chrome settings to turn off the feature. This may happen in the future, but Google has not commented on this yet.

For now, it is possible to turn the feature on or off using an experimental flag.

Here is how that is done:
  1. Load chrome://flags/#top-chrome-toasts in the Chrome address bar.
  2. Change the status of Top Chrome Toasts from Default to one of the following options:
    • Enabled -- enables the feature (this may not work for everyone)
    • Enabled with 8s, 10s, 12s -- enables the feature and sets the toast period to 8, 10 or 12 seconds.
    • Disabled -- this turns the Toast feature off.
  3. Restart Google Chrome.
To disable the Toast popups, set the value of the flag to Disabled. This turns it off.

Note: Google may remove experimental features without prior notice at any time. The option to disable the Toast notifications may be removed in a future version of the browser.
