Google is testing a new image AI model called "Nano Banana 2 Flash," and it's going to be faster than the Nano Banana Pro.
This model is part of Gemini's Flash lineup, which is the company's fastest generative AI (LLM).
We expect the image model part of the Flash lineup to be faster than the previous model, and it will also be more affordable.
However, Nano Banana 2 Flash will not be as powerful as the Nano Banana Pro.
The new Nano Banana 2 Flash model was spotted on X by MarsForTech, who has a track record of leaking Gemini's models.
Right now, Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) is Google’s top-end image generation and editing model.
It’s built for “harder” creative work where you need accuracy, a better understanding of what you mean, and cleaner results.
It uses stronger reasoning and broader real-world knowledge, so it can turn your text or reference content into clearer visuals like prototypes, diagrams, storyboards, infographics, and even recipe or weather-style snapshots (including real-time info when it’s grounded with Search).
We're expecting Nano Banana 2 Flash to be similar, but it won't be as powerful as the Banana Pro.

The flash models are faster but do not focus on details as much, lacking accuracy and even hallucinate because of. It will be interesting to see how well it renders images via prompt.

Yeah if you have stock in OpenAi I would sell it soon. They are roast and surpassed by deeper pockets. Their O Pen AI hardware looks massively lackluster
