I like the new design. The new color-scheme adds some depth to the whole design and makes the sites stand out. Also it fits perfectly the grayscale colors of my desktop.

Google should learn from Apple......

Funny that you should mention apple since the lead designer for the Google+ interface, and therefore also a big influence on the new design, is Andy Herzfeld a former software architect at Apple.

Didn't know that , thank you for the info. Andy Herzfeld did a great job with the Google+ project.
As a side note I don't know if I'll use Google+ much since I'm not really a social newtwork guy... I barely use Facebook ... How do you see Google+ vs Facebook when it comes to privacy?
